Parental control

• Monitor your children’s online activity and talk with them about their digital habits

What is parental control?

Parental control is a set of features that allows parents to limit their children’s access to certain content and functions on smartphones and tablets. It is a valuable tool to protect children from inappropriate content, cyberbullying, and excessive screen time.

What are the different types of parental control?

There are several types of parental control, each offering different features. Here are the most common ones:

  • Built-in parental control: Most mobile operating systems, such as Android and iOS, have built-in parental control features. These allow you to set screen time limits, block apps and websites, and monitor your child’s activity.

  • Parental control apps: Many third-party parental control apps offer more advanced features than the built-in options. These apps can allow you to filter text messages, track your child’s location, and even block phone calls.

  • Parental control solutions from mobile operators: Some mobile operators offer parental control solutions that let you manage your child’s phone usage, including calls, SMS, and mobile data.

How to choose the right parental control solution for you?

The best parental control solution for you will depend on your needs and preferences. Here are some factors to consider when making your choice:

  • Your child’s age: Parental control needs vary depending on age. Younger children require stricter controls than teenagers.

  • Features: Identify which features are most important to you, such as screen time limits, content filtering, and location tracking.

  • Ease of use: Choose a parental control solution that is easy to install and manage.

  • Cost: Some parental control solutions are free, while others require a paid subscription.
